It does not feel so long ago that Dan was my roommate as we both completed are postgraduate degrees at St Andrews; however it is, somehow, approaching five years since we left that wonderful Scottish town. Since then we have managed to meet up around once per year, always in a different place: from Liverpool to Gloucester, and Birmigham to Madrid. One of my closest friends, we are distinctly differing people in many ways of life: attitudes towards travelling just one of them. Whilst I, especially recently, am edging more towards experiences and meeting people, Dan will happily travel for hours to stand in an empty field that once hosted an historical event. Different, of course, does not mean worse, and below is evidence of Dan's own inspiring travel experiences.
